Youth & Children
St Michael's has a number of programmes aimed at our younger members of the congregation, which run during 10:00am Sunday services. After everyone has gathered as a congregation in the church for worship at the start of the service, the priest will pray a blessing and the young people head out to the hall for their own fellowship and learning. They rejoin the congregation for communion
Believers is aimed at school-aged youth in years 7-10, and meets in the church offices for games, studies and plenty of social catch-up. We meet on the second, third and fourth Sundays during term time, and new members are always welcome, as we play, chat and learn more about ourselves and our relationship with God.
Children's time is a Sunday school program held in the hall during the service and offers fun and learning for children aged 4-10. A typical session starts with a short prayer and lighting of the Sunday school candle, and then there is a story read from the Bible, before sharing in some fun and creative activities.
All children are welcome, and parents and car givers can join in or remain in church.
Available in the foyer every Sunday for young children. Feel free to come in and out of church as often as you need with your children.
St Michael's works with the Northern Suburbs Anglican Churches to provide some great youth programmes and activities. These meet in the St John's Johnsonville parish hall at 18 Bassett Rd, Johnsonville.
A positive, high energy, fun and encouraging environment for school years 7-10, meeting on Friday nights 7-9pm in St John's hall. New comers always welcome - bring a friend!
For older youth, school years 11-13, a group meets in the Villas Trust Lounge, at St John's.
The Believer's group has published a few videos over the years, sharing our learnings with a touch of fun. These videos are primarily produced for use in our services as a way of sharing our thoughts and discussions with the wider congregation.
